The Institute for the Historical Geography of the Church in Poland is the main research center in Poland for the study of the history and spatial organization of the Catholic Church and other Christian denominations in Poland and in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The mission
The Institute for the Historical Geography of the Church in Poland was founded by Professor Jerzy Kłoczowski. Formally established in 1957 as an agenda of the Learned Society of the Catholic University of Lublin, and since 1968 as an independent scientific-research unit of the Catholic University of Lublin, in 2010 it was incorporated into the structure of the Faculty of Humanities of the University.

- Atlas klasztorów w Polsce X-XXI w. (2017-2022)
Projekt badawczy pt. „Atlas klasztorów w Polsce X-XXI w.” finansowany w ramach Narodowego Programu Rozwoju Humanistyki (na podstawie umowy nr 0273/NPRH5/H11/84/2017). Kierownikiem projektu jest prof. dr hab. Henryk Gapski.
- Podziały terytorialne Kościoła łacińskiego w Rzeczypospolitej (X-XXI w.). Od harmonizacji danych do syntezy (2022-2027)
Projekt badawczy pt. „Podziały terytorialne Kościoła łacińskiego w Rzeczypospolitej (X-XXI w.). Od harmonizacji danych do syntezy” finansowany w ramach Narodowego Programu Rozwoju Humanistyki (na podstawie umowy nr NPRH/DN/SP/495771/2021/10). Kierownikiem projektu jest dr hab. Bogumił Szady, prof. KUL.
- Budziarze w Ordynacji Zamojskiej - historia grupy społecznej warunkowanej środowiskowo
Projekt badawczy pt. „Budziarze w Ordynacji Zamojskiej - historia grupy społecznej warunkowanej środowiskowo” finansowany w ramach konkursu PRELUDIUM-BIS Narodowego Centrum Nauki (nr 2021/43/O/HS3/01373). Kierownikiem projektu jest dr hab. Bogumił Szady, prof. KUL, zaś doktorantem mgr Dominik Róg.
